Our central goal is to observe and visualize electron motion in atoms, molecules and solids by using tailored femtosecond laser pulses.
Working closely with theoreticians and colleagues from Canada, our new paper has appeared in Scientific Reports. We present a route towards simultaneous imaging of electronic and nuclear dynamics during molecular dissociation.
After a short “break-up” of COLTRIMS and HHG chamber and a slight change in position with respect to each other, they are now happily joined back together, matching better then ever. We also upgraded some parts of the HHG source and the “joint” between COLTRIMS and HHG chamber. Check out this post for more information.
We have completed a succesful beam time on frequency up-conversion and pulse compression at the ELI-ALPS laser institute in Szeged, Hungary.
Our research is funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, DFG).
