High-Flux High Harmonic source for coincidence experiments

Visible light pulses are used to generated extreme ultra-violet pulses with high efficiency.

High-harmonic generation (HHG) offers tremendous opportunities for ultrafast spectroscopy: photon energies in the range between 10 and 100 eV can access numerous transitions in atoms and molecules, while the ultrashort pulse duration enables exquisite time resolution. In order to push the efficiency of HHG, we frequency double the output of our fiber laser to obtain an ultrabright source at 26.5 eV.
