ELI-ALPS beamtime on solid-state high-harmonic generation

We have completed a succesful beam time on frequency up-conversion and pulse compression at the ELI-ALPS laser institute in Szeged, Hungary.

A team including Mohanad, Julian and Matthias spent two long weeks in the lab using the mid-infrared laser source at the extreme light infrastructure attosecond light pulse source (ELI-ALPS). We teamed up with Dr. Adrian Pfeiffer’s group and colleagues from Hungary to study systematically high-harmonic generation in nanoscale solids. The exciting activities are supported by the collaborative research center NOA.
